Meet The Doctor
Turnage Family Dentistry is owned and operated by Dr. April Turnage. Dr. Turnage has strong family roots in Clinton and the surrounding areas. She graduated from Central Hinds Academy in 1999 and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mississippi College in 2003 as a summa cum laude graduate . Dr. Turnage then earned her dental degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2008, after which she completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry. She has proudly provided dental care for the Clinton community since 2012.
Dr. Turnage and her husband, Mike, currently reside in Clinton and have three beautiful daughters. They attend Pinelake Church. Dr. Turnage has a love for the dental profession and prides herself in treating her patients like family.
Doctor April Turnage's research publication involvements include, "Comparative Gender Effects of Experimental Periodontitis on Proinflammatory Cytokines in the Rat" (2006-2007) and "Paddlefish and Sturgeon Entertainment by Dredges: Swimming Performance
as an Indicator of Risk" (2004-2005). Other publications written by Dr. Turnage include "Is Something in the Water?" (Impressions, 2008), "Tomorrow's Dental Office Today - Bridging the Gap from Access to Care" (ERDC TN DOER-E22, 2007), "D4 Destinations" (Impressions, 2006), "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Comes to Mississippi" (Impressions, 2006), and "New Faculty at UMC" (Impressions, 2005).
